Growing up I could care less about God, Christ and anything/everything else that had to do with religion. I thought religion was for the weak and desperate. Perhaps, it was because my family went to Church, as what I percieved, as a last effort to fix the constant problems within our family. Those problems never fixed themselves and that led me further away from religion. As I said, I believed as a young child that religion and a so-called God was for the weak and only should be used to fix situation. However, when the problems never became better, I saw no use for religion. This continued throughout my teenage years. I went 5 years without stepping in a church or thinking about God. When I intially return to Church it was for a girl who I had a crush on . Once that relationship ended the small relationship I had grown with Christ quickly seemed to fade away. Years passed again until a good friend and employee began inviting me to some of his Youth Group gatherings. Although I was a little old, his persistancy and constant love helped me to determine that perhaps it would not be the worst thing ever, after all, the least it would do is bring a smile to his face. So I tagged along with no expectations. First a play, then church, then a Christian event called Acquire the Fire. There Christ came to me, show me his loved and held me while I cried. Overwhelmed by the love he showed me I quickly gave my life to Christ. I was baptized one week later...by my friend. Although I struggle and make many mistakes daily, I try to show Christ's love to all around me, just as my friend has done for me.
I am 21 years old and am District Manager of two Papa Murphy's stores. I live on the Oregon Coast in a little tourist town called Lincoln City. I enjoy spending time in nature, taking hikes, walks on the beach, or just simple jogs. Sports is what i am fanatic about, any and all sports you will find me playing or watching.....except soccer. I do not really have the patience to read, although the Bible seems to intrigue me a little=) Most days I work and come home to my little studio apartment and chill with my next door neighbor, who happens to be a manager I employ in one store and also my best friend. I live life very spontaneous at times and find simple things to be the best pleasures in life. I am greatly looking forward to the trip and cannot wait to meet and make many friends and relationships that will change me forever.
